“Friends of Campton”
Campton Lower School has an active and supportive ‘Friends of Campton’ (P.T.A) Parent/Teacher Association that has meetings at least once a term to arrange social events and fund-raising activities. All parents are automatically members of the association and are welcome to attend all meetings. Parents are informed of dates of meetings and events in the school’s monthly newsletters, on the school’s learning platform and through the Association Secretary.
Message from the “Friends of Campton” Chair, Mrs Emma Hignett:
Every school has a Parent Teacher Association, whether it be big or small, who help to organise different events throughout the school year, alongside those organised by the school.
Here at Campton Lower School we have a small PTA called “Friends of Campton”. We are a group of parents who have this year organised school discos, cake sales, film nights and a very popular Christmas Fayre. The money raised from such events goes straight back into the school funds; this year we have helped the school fund the Christmas Pantomime, Circus Workshop and a new parent notice board.
We are always looking for new members and I would like to take this opportunity to invite all Campton Lower School parents/carers to join the “Friends of Campton” and help make a difference to your child’s time spent at the school. If you are unable to join as an active member of the PTA, but would like to help out at events throughout the year, then we would also like to know.
Thank you for your continued support
Emma Hignett, Chair
